Fresh from picking up their second victory of the campaign last weekend, 9th placed Woongarrah faced off with eighth-placed Toukley at Hamlyn Terrace on Sunday afternoon.

Separated by just the one point on the Women’s Premier League table, both sides knew that they needed to win this match if they wanted to keep their slim hopes of playing in the 2019 WPL finals alive.

The first half of this match was evenly contested with both sides trading chances, however, Toukley were to find the opening goal thanks to a third goal of the season to Gemma Clegg, enough to see them enter half-time with a 1-0 lead.

The second half played out much the same as the first, as both sides had the chances to win the match, but once again it was Toukley who were able to find a goal, with Aimee Cogger scoring her first of the season to see the Gunners take home the three points.
