Nike Elastico Finale III TF - Midnight Fog/White/Volt,We had our Irish boot tester Darshan Pokhrel test out the brand new Volt/Pink Superfly IV by Nike.FIRST IMPRESSIONS: My first impression when I opened the box was 鈥榃OW the one piece flyknit material looked extremely beautiful straight out of the box which made me feel like I didnt want to wear them and get them dirty. Also with the presence of Dynamic Fit Collar these boots look extremely unique. The colourway itself is Volt/Hyperpink and splash of black which makes these boots stand out from the crowd which I like because I am more into modern looking boots and this colourway definitely delivers to my expectations and in my opinion this is the best Superfly IV colourway.BREAK-IN: Breaking-In into these Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots was very hard. To fully break-in, it took me good 4-5 training sessions. During this period the problem I faced when testing these boots were severe blisters on back of my heel which was very painful. Also with the help of the Brio-cables these boots offers really tight fit which was annoying me because I am a wide footed player and the boots just felt too tight on me. This is why I only recommend these boots to only people with narrow feet. After breaking-into them fully these boots feel really comfortable and moulds to your feet really well. Sizing wise its really important to stay true to size. But even when staying true to size I felt little room around the front of the boots (around the toes). This is why I strongly recommend going at least half a size down to get the best possible fit off these unique looking boots.WEIGHT/PROTECTION: Since I am a winger I want my boots to be light as possible and to get past defenders and make sharp turns. With size 8UK these boots weigh around 190 grams which feels really light when playing and it also feels like playing bare-footed and natural when dribbling. With the boots weighingonly 190 grams and the upper being really thin, the protection you are going to get is very minimal or even no protection what so ever. If you play for a Sunday League team where the tackles are flying in, then its best you choose something like Reebok classics because if you get stood on specially with SG studs its going to hurt a lot. I dont recommend these boots to any players who play in the defence.DURABILITY: I am 100% satisfied with the durability of these Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Volt boots. The quality of these boots is great. After 2 weeks of testing them, I didnt spot any rips, tears, broken studs, soleplate separations or any fault with the boots. And the boots look good as new after 2 weeks. I dont know what the future holds durability wise but until this point I am 100% satisfied with the quality of these boots.TRACTION: The soleplate is made of carbon fibre which was seen on previous Superfly generation. This time the soleplate is really flexible and doesnt feel stiff at all. When changing directions and making sharp turns I didnt face any slippage this could be down to the fact that there are 4 studs on the back and 7 up front (3 of them are made into circular studs). The Superfly performs really well in FG pitch and Astro-Turf pitch.PERFORMANCE: I love these boots for shooting simply because there is no shooting panels and tongue on the boots. Shooting with these boots feel really natural and you really generate that extra bit of power. Because of no tongue shooting feels kind of strange to start off but you will eventually adapt your strike with these boots. Touch+Feel for the ball is excellent and the boots provides a bare-foot feel when dribbling. With the help of NIKESKIN, the Superfly IV gives that extra bit of grip when dribbling both on wet and dry conditions. Key elements that make these boots really unique is of course the Dynamic Fit Collar which provides great stability for your ankles and the brio-cables which are designed to give you great lock-down affect so your feet dont slip/slide inside the boots. In my opinion this is a great innovation from Nike football and surprisingly this works really, really well.VERDICT: So Overall I really really love these boots and enjoyed my time wearing them after the break-in time because it moulds to your foot perfectly. There are so many positives of these boots followed by some negatives which are break in time, the price yes you red me the price which is more then 250 Euro, protection and just feels really tight for wide footed players. This is why I rate them good 8 out of 10.
